Jasim M Uddin

I am graduated with DVM from Bangladesh Agricultural University and awarded PhD from the Institute of Animal Science, University of Bonn. Subsequently after PhD, I worked as Research Associate (Molecular Genetics of Pig group) in the same institute. I have relocated to the School of Veterinary Science, University of Queensland with UQ-postdoc Fellowship. Currently, I am investigating the pathogenomics features of West Nile virus (WNV) in horses and model animal rabbits. My research interests include Host-pathogen interactions using next generation genomics and epigenetics tools, Development of biomarkers for infectious diseases detection and identification of novel therapeutics, Epigenetics of immune response and muscle growth in porcine model, Genetics behind the production traits of livestock for sustainable animal productions, and Identification of candidate genes and genetic markers controlling the immune responses and production traits in livestock.
