Kristie A Jenkins
Dr Kristie Jenkins is the domain leader for the Health and Medicine domain of the SynBio FSP. She is also the Team leader for Genome Engineering within the Health and Biosecurity Business Unit of CSIRO. She has over 15 year’s research experience in molecular biology, immunology, cell biology, and genome engineering. Her research has focused on two main areas, initially on the innate immune response, particularly to viruses and more recently in genome engineering and the production of transgenic and gene edited chickens. Her team has developed two novel approaches to produce genome engineered chickens which do not rely on germ cell culture.
